CANCELLATION RULES
Timely cancellation can be made up to 3 days before arrival (local time). If the reservation is canceled later than this, the sum of the entire price of the stay will be charged. Therefore, please remember to cancel well in advance.
Non-refundable reservations can not be canceled or changed. The full amount will be charged at the time of purchase and a refund is not possible.
For groups or schools, there are other applicable cancellation policies. Please contact [email protected] for more information.
If the booking is booked through a third party (Booking.com, etc.), you must be aware that other cancellation rules may apply.
WHEN DO I PAY FOR MY BOOKING?
If you book online on our own website, you pay immediately via DIBS.
If you book by phone or by email, you will receive a confirmation with our terms and payment instructions.
Always make sure to check if you have made a reservation that can be canceled free of charge before a certain date, or if you have made a non-refundable reservation.
ROOMS
All bedrooms are large and spacious and each contains bunk beds. We have 12 rooms with their own shower and toilet, 12 rooms with shared shower and toilet (8 of them is on the 1st floor). Remember to bring your own shampoo, etc.
When you book, you can choose between a room with its own shower and toilet or a room without its own shower and toilet.
Prices: Rooms from DKK 360.00 per. night.
LINEN AND TOWELS
Bed linen and a towel are not included in the room rate and can be brought or rented when booking or checking in.
Linen and towels can always be rented at the reception for DKK 75.00 per. package.
We point out that sleeping bags must not be used.
PARKING
We offer free parking on site.
The available parking spaces are for free use on a first-come, first-served basis and can therefore not be reserved in advance.
We emphasize that Danhostel Skagen is not responsible for theft, damage or anything else in connection with the parking.
BREAKFAST
The breakfast buffet costs DKK 88.00 and DKK 49.00 for children under 12 years.
Family package 2 adults + 2 children under 12 years DKK 250.00
You can pay for the days you want to buy breakfast in the online booking or from day-to-day during your stay.
GUEST KITCHEN
Please note that, there are special guidelines for the guest kitchen, you can read them in the kitchen.
On the first floor, our kitchen is available for the hostel’s guests.
Our kitchen is functional and equipped with various kitchen utensils. There is room for more people to cook at the same time.
Every day between 11:00-11: 30 the kitchen will be closed due to cleaning.
The guest kitchen is reserved for individuals and families. Groups can unfortunately not use the kitchen – however, special access can be given in isolated cases.
DISABILITY FRIENDLY
Danhostel Skagen can be used by wheelchair users, but we point out that our common room & kitchen is located on the 1st floor.
There are rooms on the ground floor, where our disabled toilet is also located and is for free use.
Please note that there is no lift on the property.
TAXASERVICE
If you need a taxi during your stay, we can help you book one.

DANHOSTEL BENEFIT CARD / HOSTELLING INTERNATIONAL CARD
With a free Danhostel Benefit Card, you earn bonus points corresponding to 10% of your overnight stay when you stay at Danhostel, as well as access to good discounts on experiences and attractions around Denmark. Create your benefit card here.
BICYCLE RENTAL
You can rent bikes from us Danhostel Skagen for DKK 110,00
The rent starts from your desired start and a day ahead.
We do not rent bicycles on an hourly basis.
The bikes are rented in collaboration with Skagen Bikerental.
If you wish to rent a bicycle, please contact the reception.
BICYCLE PACKAGING
At Danhostel Skagen, we offer bicycle parking, either at our set up bicycle racks or in our bicycle shed,
where it is also possible to get it locked.
It is not allowed to bring bicycles in the indoor areas of the hostel.
If you unexpectedly bring your bike in the indoor areas,
a fee of DKK 500,00 will be charged.
You can also be expelled from the hostel.
PET
Danhostel Skagen does not allow pets, as we respect guests with allergies.
If you unexpectedly bring your pet, you may be rejected on arrival
or charged extraordinary cleaning fee.
SMOKING POLICY
All indoor areas at Danhostel Skagen are non-smoking.
Smokers are welcome to use the areas where ashtrays are set up.
For smoking in the room, a fee of DKK 3,000.00 will be charged.
You can also be expelled from the hostel.
If the smoke detector is activated, it will result in an additional fee of DKK 10,000.
ALCOHOL POLICY
Bringed alcohol is at the guest’s own risk and may only be enjoyed inside the room,
so you are not a nuisance to the other guests of the place.
In the event of inconvenience to other guests, this may result in immediate expulsion from the venue.
AGE LIMIT
Children and young people under the age of 18 may only stay at Danhostel Skagen in the company of adults.
LITTLE CHILDREN
One child under 2 years stays free of charge when using existing bedding in private rooms.
If a cot is required during the stay, this can be borrowed at the reception upon arrival.
There is a maximum of 1 cot per person. room and cot can not be pre-booked.
OUR GUESTS
We are an accommodation reserved for tourists, schools and groups.

If you have lost something that you think may have been forgotten here at our hostel during your stay, you can write to us at [email protected]. Here, tell us what you forgot. Next, we will see if it matches one of the parts in our box with forgotten cases. If it does, we will contact you with the further process.
